My name is Helen Jones and I’m a professional artist based in Derbyshire.

 

I specialise in original pet portraits, particularly dogs and horses, and with a personal soft spot for sighthounds. I work with either graphite pencil or acrylic paints to create a truly special memento of your pet – though I have also painted planes, trains and automobiles in my time!

 

During Covid I started work on a project I am really excited about – the Stuff and Nonsense range, taking famous works of art and completely repainting them (no AI here!) with a silly twist.

I am really pleased that they are now available in a range of sizes through a local collaboration at www.artiprint.co.uk.

And finally I also work with leather, making bags, dog collars and other fun items completely by hand, using traditional methods of dyeing, cutting and stitching. Although I use some fantastic patterns by other artists, I also like to make things that you will never find anywhere else. The beauty of working with a natural product like leather means that no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
